What is dual credit?
Dual credit is a partnership between St. Joseph High School and Lake Michigan College,
where students earn high school and college credits.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to work toward high school graduation
and earn free post-secondary/college credits.
FALL 2023:
April 19 — Parent & Student Dual Credit Information Session, LIVE via Zoom
April 27 — BEAR Time Session to complete required LMC Application.
May 16, 18 or 24 — Math ACCUPLACER testing for current Algebra 2 students at SJHS (2:45-5:30pm).
Sign up in Guidance Office.
Aug 17 — Deadline for all ACCUPLACER testing for 2023-24 school year!
Sept 5 — LMC will hand out registration forms & present to DC classes.
Sept 14 — Registration DEADLINE - forms due!

ACCUPLACER TESTING @ LMC
(during the summer)
Sophomores or above with 2.5 or higher GPA automatically meet Writeplacer (“R” & “W”) prerequisites.
Incoming freshmen and students who do not have a 2.5 GPA must take Writeplacer at the LMC Campus.
NOTE: Graphic Arts will require a “M” prerequisite.
To schedule your testing appointment
1. go to lakemichigancollege.edu and search "placement services."
2. click on the first link.
3. Scroll down to "schedule your placement test" and click on "log in with your LMC single sign-on credentials" or "schedule without LMC credentials" link.
4. Select Accuplacer exam group and which placement tests you were advised to take.
5. Select your date and time.
6. YOU MUST COMPLETE your LMC Application/registration (1 day prior to testing)!
7. Photo ID is required for all testing.

ACCUPLACER TESTING at LMC
DUE: AUGUST 25, 2022!:
Set up an appointment at the Benton Harbor campus, visit the Placement Services page on LMC Website www.lakemichigancollege.edu/placement. Click the "placement tests by appointment" link under the "Make an appointment for Placement testing" section. For #1, select Accuplacer-Placement Test. For #2, select Accuplacer WritePlacer and/or Math.
PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED in order to take the ACCUPLACER!
